Whether you're an action-seeker, nature lover, history buff, architectural admirer, or foodie, Saskatoon offers fun for everyone. Explore Wanuskewin Heritage Park; a national historic site devoted to teaching visitors about the Northern Plains Indian culture. The Beaver Creek Conservation Area is an awe-inspiring ecological site dedicated to the prairie habitat. In warm seasons, the Prairie Lily riverboat cruise will show you the city from a different perspective.
Saskatoon never stops short in honouring and celebrating our roots. Visitors can catch a glimpse of this by dining at Park Café, a local gem that features photos of Saskatoon in the early days. The Western Development Museum allows visitors to be transported back in time and experience the days of 1910 Boomtown. It's an unforgettable indoor street filled with the sights and sounds of a booming prairie town - you don't just visit, you live it!
Take a stroll around the University of Saskatchewan campus; specifically, "the Bowl" which gives you a 360° view of the University's architecture. Also on site is the world famous synchrotron, located in the Canadian Light Source facility where many scientists from around the world have researched and studied.
To add to the enticements, take a leisurely ten-minute drive south of the city to The Berry Barn and indulge in a slice of homemade saskatoon berry pie while overlooking the river. Explore the Broadway district on foot where you will have your choice of casual and fine dining, coffee shops, cozy pubs and nightspots.
