Dr. Ernesto Sirolli is an inspiring authority on sustainability. In 1971 he began his work in Africa. In 1985, he pioneered Enterprise Facilitation® a responsive, person-centered approach to local economic development in a remote rural community in Western Australia,. In 1996, he founded the Sirolli Institute International, a social enterprise that teaches civic leaders and entrepreneurs not to let a single ounce of local intelligence go to waste.
Dr. Sirolli is the author of two books: “Ripples from the Zambezi – Passion entrepreneurship and the rebirth of local economies” a classic for Economic Development practitioners and :”How to start a business and ignite your life” a simple guide to combining business wisdom with passion on the Trinity of Management®.
Sirolli is a community practice “iron man” with 3 decades experience. He has a Doctorate in Political Sciences from Rome University , a Ph.D in the Philisophy – Local Enterprise Facilitation from Murdoch University, He is an Industry Fellow at CSRM, University of Queensland an Adjunct Professor of Sustainable Development at Curtin University CUSP and TED Fellow. In 2012 Dr. Sirolli gave a TED TALK :”Shut up and Listen” that went viral, translated into 31 languages and over 2½ million views.
