Alexandro Alvarez is a Lawyer and a Master of Arts in Politics by the Universidad de Chile, and an LL.M by the American University Washington College of Law (Washington DC, USA).
He has a vast experience in political, legal and legislative matters. His experience has included advisory tasks in public law at large, public policies, human rights, and indigenous peoples.
During his LL.M at Washington DC, he was an advisor for the Washington College of Law Office of the Dean in the Interamerican System of Human Rights affairs. Since 2014 is a legal and political advisor at the Ministry of Interior of Chile and is a Professor of Law (Constitutional, Administrative) at Universidad Central.
He has served as advisor of different public agencies in his country (Ministry of Health, Ministry General Secretariat of the Presidency, National Corporation of Indigenous Affairs, Ministry of Social Development among others). Alvarez has also collaborated to NGO´s, indigenous communities and organizations in topics of his expertise.
