Kim is a highly experienced facilitator, negotiator and and policy adviser.  He is a Mediator and accredited Arbitrator.  He was an initial Member of the National Native Title Tribunal when it was established in Australia. He is highly experienced in dealing with indigenous and company issues.

His extensive experience includes being a member of the Judiciary in Papua New Guinea and administrative decision-making roles in a number of Statutory Tribunals in Australia.  Kim has visited Chile on six occasions since November 2015 and has developed some familiarisation of the issues and practical problems involved in the indigenous community and company space. As a consequence he has had some exposure to the courts, government policy and practitioners in this area.

He has delivered two seminars at the invitation of the University of Chile and Universidad Alberto Hurtado and has spoken at a number of other events and workshops.  He co-authored and presented a paper on the importance of implementation in these agreement- making processes at the Gecamin SRM Conference in Antofagasta in November 2015.  He was invited to address Ministers for Mining at the CAMMA Forum in Buenos Aires on the issue of more effective engagement and agreement making in June 2017.  He also was invited to speak at the 2 nd Australia and Chile Leadership Forum held in Melbourne, Australia in December 2016.

Currently he is working with the Catholic University of Chile to deliver Workshops on Agreement Making between Indigenous Communities and Resource Projects in Chile and other countries in Central and Latin America.
