Since March 2014, Rafael Sabat has been theInternational Director of Chile’s Export Promotion Bureau (ProChile). Previously, heheld the post ofMinister Councellor for Economic Affairs to the European Union (2009-2013), and wasChile’s Trade Commissioner to The Netherlands (2000-2006).
Mr. Sabat started his professional career at Chile’s International Agency of development cooperaton (AGCID). To date, he has worked in total22 years at Chile’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He study History in Chilebefore moving on to receive a Diploma in International Relations at Spain’s Diplomatic School. He also holds aMasters Degree in Development Strategies at The Institute of Social Science (Erasmus University) in The Netherlands.
