Shawn has been teaching, training and leading community based economic development programs in remote communities across Canada and around the world for over 20 years. Creating Indigenous forestry co-operatives to connect communities directly to buyers is the company mission. past projects include forestry training, establishing gravel pits, roads, runways, ski-hills, transfer stations, subdivisions, food security programs or any combination of capital projects the community deems strategic to it’s economic security and sustainable growth.
Starting his career as Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Faculty of Management at Royal Roads University, Shawn now specializes in the mobile delivery of onsite job skills training such as Train-The-Trainer (plus curriculum) for communities to initiate heavy equipment operator training, forestry training, sawmill training, contractor training, environmental monitoring and many other commercial activities. Shawn is the co-Founder of High Velocity Equipment Training College in Alberta CA and the owner of Velocity Training Canada in British Columbia CA
