Returning to New Zealand in 2015 Rachel remains globally focused and locally rooted to her rich Waikato-Tainui iwi (tribal affiliation). As Deputy Chair of Te Ohu Whai Ao Trust, hosts of WIBF 2018 in New Zealand a Board member of Ngāti Tamaoho Charitable Trust Board and committee member of Otara Blue Light she believes in Governance through service to underserved communities.
