WIBF 2018 Featuring: Princess Salote Mafile’o Pilolevu Tuita

Her Royal Highness Princess Salote Mafile’o Pilolevu Tuita is the only daughter of His Late Majesty King Taufa’ahau Tupou IV and Queen Halaevalu Mata’aho and second eldest of Their Majesties four children.

In 1971 Her Royal Highness utilised her teaching qualifications when she returned to begin teaching

Kindergarten classes at her own Kindergarten school. Her Royal Highness joined the staff of the Tonga Visitors Bureau and took an active role in developing the efficiency and effectiveness of local Tour Operators. Her Royal Highness has since continued her relationship with the Tourism industry after leaving the Bureau by becoming a member of the Board of Directors of the regional body, Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA)

Her Royal Highness began her business career in a joint venture with the establishment of Airport Services, which provided the first café/bar and canteen catering at Fu’amotu International Airport in Tonga, which was the first of its kind in the Kingdom.

This was followed by various other business ventures which now includes interests in a wide area of industries including telecommunications and associated marketing, manufacturing, fishing, insurance, wholesale and retail distribution, hospitality and tourism. Arising from these various businesses, Her Royal Highness is able to contribute greatly to numerous charitable and philanthropic causes.
